Focus more on the good times, less on the bad times. Afterall, this is life, inevitablly, sometimes its good, sometimes its not so good. But with a
positive outlook and approach to life, then maybe life seems better
afterall.

Leaders:

1. Please make sure you get an answer from your memebers before
Thursday 2359 so that you can get back to me by then. You may have to
call them to get an answer on time.

2. Please make sure your members bring $2 each. I will collect the
total amount for each group from the leaders. Whether or not they pay
you on the spot or another time,i will still collect it from you. It
is your duty to chase them for the money. "Willing to play but not
willing to pay,how can?" Beg or borrow,i don't care,just don't steal! =p

3. Please make sure they come on time, like i said,3.30pm,you may want
to inform them to be there by 315pm to ensure they won't come later
than 3.30pm. IT WILL APPLY,those that arrive later than 3.30pm WILL
NOT START.

4. Please make sure your group brings at least one soccer ball each!
If your current group isn't holding on to any soccer balls, please let
Henry know,he has 4 or 5 soccer balls with him at home.

Thank you for everything leaders! It is greatly appreciated! Things
can and will run smoothly if all these little details can be sorted
out. We have to start somewhere,if a match will help boost the team,so
be it,let us just try not to solely depend on matches alone. "As
leaders,if it doesn't start from you,then who?"

Match this Sunday!

Dearest Team,

WHY AIN'T ANYONE RESPONDING WHATESOEVER??? At least show you're still
alive? A simple "Got it!" would be fine. =)

Regarding this issue,i'd like to clarify something with everyone, both
leaders and members. When any information is sent out or is required
to be sent out,the only way for any of us to know whether the other
party has recieved it,is by getting a response.

When whoever is planning a training session or a match,he will send
out a mail through the Yahoo Groups.

Leaders, upon recieving the mail, please READ IT FULLY,then respond
accordingly,. Replying through the Yahoo Groups is perfectly
fine, however,PLESE PLEASE PLEASE make sure the one organizing
responds,if he does not respond,it obviously means he hasn't taken
note of what YOU have replied to. When such a situation occurs, find a
different method to reach him, either by sms or the best, call him
straight,so as to avoid any miscommunication.

Members, please reply your leaders when they pass on information to
you,be it regarding attendance or other issues,a simple sms will do,so
long as they get a response from you, that's fine.

If the team can keep to this, things will run much more smoothly as
well as organized. If individual group members respond to their
leaders on time, the leaders can then respond to the one organizing
training or match on time. Similarly, once members and leaders respond
on time, the one organizing will only then be able to give out
finalized details on time,so as to assist each of our
pre-training/match preparation. =)

FINALLY,more details on this Sunday's match.

Leonard Tan
Leonard, (born 11t March 1989), is a amateur Singaporean footballer, who plays for TeamR-age.

TeamR-age
Leonard's career with TeamR-age started in 2002, at the tender age of 13. Before this time, Leonard was already looking to play regularly. His cousin, Nigel, aware of Leonard's desire to play more regular football, urged the talented youngster to attend the open-trials for TeamR-age. No surprises, he made the grade. However, due to the lack of quality and back-up in the goalkeeping department back then, he was deployed as a goalkeeper. Leonard made his TeamR-age debut in the same year. And has been fielded in that position since. However, 5 years on, after having made more than half-a-century of appearances guarding the goal, Leonard now seeks a new challenge. He intents and is determine to re-invent himself as an out-field player (right back). Admittedly, such a transition may be challenging even for the best players. But with Leonard, given the commitment and determination he has shown over the past few seasons, this will certainly not be one mountain too high for him to climb. His career will be followed with great interest.

Trivia
Leonard: I used to hate arsenal and thought Wenger was the devil. But now i
kinda like them.

"To answer my view about loyalty of players, I think its simply about not
giving up to improve for the team. Attendance for trainings and matches
itself is not enough to show you are loyal. Its about making
self-improvement on the field for the team. I'd think a person is very
loyal to the team when he fights hard and grit his teeth to get into the
first 11 by improving himself on the pitch in trainings or matches, and not
those who ll give up halfway because they feel that they just cant break
into the first team."

Hey guys, I found this post on David's blog and I thought that its very inspirational... so enjoy!!!

My life fulfilling trip
Alrightey…my first blog…haha I‘m never really a fan of blogging but I just wanna share a little something to all of my friends…
I’ve just came back from my 3D2N Bali trip. On the last day of the trip, as I was waiting for my tour bus to pick me up from my hotel to the airport. I had a bit a time to go to the beach to enjoy the sea breeze for the last time, well at least for sometime to come….
So there I was, laying flat with my sunny on, looking at the waves roaring to the shore and enjoying the oncoming breeze rushing in from the never ending oceanic view when I noticed a man sitting on the sandy shoreline diagonally in front of me with his back facing me. There he was, with his hat on, dressed simply in dark blue polo-t and accompanied by a rather ruggard and worn-out pair of long pants. There was a large wooden box, flipped open, on his lap. Inside it was full of necklaces, rings, earrings, etc… things that you can usually find in pasar malam stalls…And so I realised he was a small time trader who sells these stuffs…
Equipped with a cloth on one hand, he was wiping clean of all his products… This may be a common scene to some… but before long I found myself even more engrossed with this whole image. And I admit, I peeped through my sunny for quite sometime… At that time, it really gets me thinking… I mean look at this man, he might not be earning much, he may have to go some days trying to sell his jewels in vain, bcos it aint easy to earn considerable profits especially when you are selling “fake” stuffs while many will prefer having brandish ones around their necks or wrists…. Not to mention on how far customers will actually push the limit of bargainings for these “lower” quality goods…But there he was, polishing them, not just ignorant polishing though. He was very diligent in wiping clean every of his stuffs and displaying them nicely on his wooden box… making sure that his products are sparkling clean and neat, hoping to entice more customers…
He might not be earning millions of profits per day, but I can see that he really takes a lot of pride in the thing he does… When he was finished with the cleaning, which easily took him about an hour or so… (cos that was how long I spent laying beat there)…he got up, wearing a big smile on his face, carried his stuffs and approached nearby tourists,... back to having a shot again to attracting them to buy his products by painstakingly trying to communicate in English with them….
Until now I still can’t shake off this live image from my head… I realise even more that life isn’t all about work, money making, big houses, sweet looking cars, blah, blah, blah… Life is more about the simple things we usually take for granted…the things that we are surrounded with and the people that we are blessed with…
If we take pride with everything we do in life, we’ll then find satisfaction and fulfilment of this so often called “sucky life”….
As for me, that very moment was when I started to treasure more the soothing sound of the onrushing waves, the inland gushing winds, to try and breathe in as much fresh ocean air as possible to cleanse my lungs =P
Cos I know not everyday that I can have the privilege to lay dead and be carefree =D
Life aint that bad afterall eh…
A Good Life ain’t there to be achieved… It is already there, laying in wait for each one of us to be able to see it…

Lester Ang
Jian Wen, (born 1st February 1989), better known as Lester, is a amateur Singaporean footballer, who plays for TeamR-age.

TeamR-age
Jian Wen's special talent as a footballer caught the eye of then team manager, Joey Tan. He played primarily as a winger on both flanks. Jian Wen's amateur career began when he was offered a contract with TeamR-age in 2001. He was 12 years old. Although comparatively smaller built compared to his peers, he shown tremendous heart in his football, often taking on players twice his size in trainings. Deservingly, a year later, he made his first team appearence in 2002 at the age of 13. Since then, he has established himself as a regular squad player. At present (2007), given he is still only 18 years young and fast gaining experience, this is definitely a future star in the making.
